10:00 AM: The Sprint Car Hall of Fame
will be open all day Friday for classes to get gather and reminisce!
11:30 AM to 1:00 PM: Everyone is invited to the Knoxville Alumni
Association Annual Meeting and Lunch. Lunch will be FREE to Alumni members or $8.00
for non-members. Membership dues may be paid at the door; $25.00 per year or $250.00
for a lifetime membership.
ATTENTION CLASSES: The class with the most classmates
attending the meeting will have a scholarship presented in
their class' name to a graduating KHS Senior in 2016! To reserve a table for the
day, please contact Jody Jones Rawlings, Alumni Board President, KHS Class of 1984, at 641-891-0645
or jrawlings@mercydesmoines.org to reserve your table(s).
2:30 PM: Parade Line-up at Main and Fremont Street. The parade
begins at 3:00 PM. If you would like to ride on the Alumni Float or reserve a spot
in the parade for YOUR OWN CLASS FLOAT, please contact Jody.
4:00 PM to 6:30 Dinner Break! There are many churches and organizations
holding delicious tailgate meals around the Knoxville area and we encourage you
to support them. This Information will be on the Facebook page Knoxville Alumni
Association, Knoxville, Iowa and at www.knoxvillealumniassoc.com.
6:30 PM: Class Reunion Line-up at the Stadium. Classes having reunions
are asked to meet at the southwest corner of the stadium. Please notify Pennie Edwards
Sommar, KHS Class of 1966 at pennies@issbank.com
if you plan to participate in the class reunion introductions. Class introductions
will be around 7:00 PM. Special seating will be provided after class introductions.
Tickets for the game may be purchased at the towers for $5.00 at game time or for
tickets in advance, contact Pennie at 641-891-4779. She will be at the parade line-up
carrying the black and gold class signs!
7:00 PM: Support the Knoxville Panthers as they host the Oskaloosa
Indians at our historic Ken Locke Stadium!
7:30 PM: Evening Homecoming activities begin at THE SPRINT CAR
HALL OF FAME. Tickets at the door. Memberships may be purchased throughout the evening also.
8:00 PM to 11:00: Homecoming Dance at THE SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME.
