A private memorial service for Hollis E. Perry, 67, of Des Moines, who died April
26, 1999 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, will be held at a later
date at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines.
Hollis was born in Knoxville, and
lived in Colfax for 10 years before moving to Des Moines in 1984. He also lived
in Knoxville for 19 years.
He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper during the
Korean War. He had worked for the City of Des Moines in the Public Works Department,
before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the VFW Baldwin-Patterson Post in Des
Moines.
He is survived by his wife, Marvyl; a daughter, Brenda Henning of Des Moines;
and a grandchild.
Arrangements were made by Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines.
